Assesses nutritional needs of patients, develops and implements care plans, communicates information pertinent to nutritional care of patients through the record system. Coordinates diet therapy with physicians and nurses. Plans and/or oversees planning of nutritional therapeutic diets for patients. Educates patients and care givers on dietary needs, and means to meet dietary goals, using age-appropriate educational methods. Supervises work of Nutritional Service Department to ensure proper record-keeping, adherence to physician orders, and adherence to best practice. Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations and policies governing the provision of health care.
Required:
Bachelors of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition
Current VT certification
One year experience as Registered Dietician (RD or RDN) or Dietetic Intern
